Latest numbers show a slim lead for Dems statewide. The Clark Dem firewall is all but erased by the GOP rural landslide, leaving Washoe, with snow inbound, as the probable decider.

Ds will need ticket-splitters, minimal indie damage to survive.

I am not sure I would do it this year even if I were that guy.

Last day of early voting today, and only 1,500-ballot gain by Ds in Clark and loss of 500 in Washoe on Thurs.

D statewide lead at 1.5% and will shrink when rural numbers come in.

What does it mean?

And there's the in-person results, which wipe out all but about 1,500 of Dem pickup in Clark..

So firewall grows just a little.

The postman has arrived.

Gain of almost 4K for Dems in Clark, but the number of mail ballots is not super-high and Rs may erase much of that gain in in-person early voting.

We will know soon.

GOP operative working on key NV campaigns expresses optimism about tonight's numbers.

If he's right -- and he may be -- the margin for error for the Dems closes even tighter than any election since the red wave of 2014.

Turnout in Nye County, where the clerk is an election denier supported by an election denier secretary of state candidate, is highest by percentage in Nevada.

As of this morning, the Nye numbers:

Rs: 6,187
Ds: 2,719

More reaction to this than anything I have ever written.

NV's 3 competitive House races, all with Dem incumbents, all moved toward the GOP during the last couple of days in ballot turnout. The Dem edges are eroding in each of the districts, falling by 2 or 3 percentage points because of less mail than forecast.

Transphobic fear-mongering this cycle is revolting. As if trans kids become females because they want to play girls sports. It's intellectually dishonest, morally repugnant. What's more dangerous: A phony threat to girls sports or a real threat to democracy from election deniers?

I'm sure this is the end of the election denier caucus's attempts to cast doubt on elections by attacking poll workers and administrators.

Heaven help us if some of these races are super-tight on Election Night, w/more mail ballots to come and GOPers slightly ahead...
