We weren't able to identify all widows yet, but out of 173 authority records referring to 149 individual widow, only 14 remain unidentified. These include 3 Parisian printers (widows of Jean Blageart, Jacques Charpentier and Gervais Clouzier) and 1 from Amsterdam (Widow De Groot)

Identifying female printers reveals previously unknown relationships between printing firms/families. When Claire Lesteens, granddaughter of Hieronymus Verdussen, married Engelbertus Gymnicus, who migrated from Cologne to Antwerp, she united three important printing families.
