In Somalia, the ‘Right to Health’ is a principle embedded in the Female Health Worker program - a community health service delivery. RCRF Project Somalia supports the Ministry of Health in training its staff on a Human Rights Based Approach when conducting citizen engagement campaigns.
It was an honour to deliver the keynote address at the #Somalia Development Forum organised by Heritage Institute this morning. I addressed the #Somali governments post debt plans for economic transformation, taking account of the huge economic progress we made in the last decade.

The Director General of Ministry of Health - SWSS along with the RCRF Project Somalia Project Manager and the PIU team has launched a 45 day-1st phase training for the newly recruited Female Health Workers (FHWs). This training is aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of FHWs in Baidoa District.
Overseeing the opening of exams at Mohamud Mire School today, H.E. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir announced that exams are being conducted at 45 centers nationwide, including 19 districts in the FMS & 14 centers in Banadir, with 13,252 teachers participating through a fair & transparent process.
