It has been great to be part of the ReMO Ambassador School, as an Ambassador I am committed to do a lot for the wellbeing and mental health of researchers in Colombia and LATAM. My thanks to Researcher Mental Health Observatory COST Action, Grenoble EM, Stéphanie Gauttier, Brian Cahill, Gábor Kismihók.
Issues with poor #mentalhealth in #academia should be addressed & solved at the systemic level. On the other side, for those navigating in academia & facing problems & stress, it is useful to get a glimpse of some practical solutions to improve their lives. I’m so sick of academics who make PhD students and postdocs feel bad about themselves. I see it happen frequently and it’s awful.
If you’re one of those people, please stop and consider how you can support them instead. Our early career scholars deserve better.

The COST is a really useful tool for researchers (of any career stage, but especially to early- to mid-career researchers) to build their own collaborative network for future scientific collaborations and further grants. 🌈 Did you know you can contribute to their cause by registering for #MINDS2024 ?
Academia is a highly international career path, often requiring researchers to move abroad, which in turn, increases the risks of having lower number of social interactions. Loneliness influences #mentalhealth , but also health as outlined in the paper below. #Awareness Researcher Mental Health Observatory COST Action
