Today, we sat in trees and looked at squirrels and it was good! I also saw this bandstand, which I couldn't enter because it was fenced off, but it was beautiful all the same. I love bandstands. They feel very romantic, I always think.

And OF COURSE I loved it! It's a Liz Hyder novel, so it is full full full of HEART! Friendship, mystery, nature, and a boy named Story. Just wonderful! Publishing October 10th. The perfect class read, too, I think.

I had the best time reading the entries for this amazing prize and deciding on a shortlist. I can't wait to see these fantastic writers published!
