TSSA staff have been silenced by the leadership of TSSA and have been banned from talking to TSSA members about the problems at TSSA. Please read this open letter from them.

This is appalling. The new leadership of TSSA, who were elected to implement the Kennedy report’s recommendations to change the toxic misogynistic culture at the top of the union, are now trying to silence the brave women who spoke out - and any other critical voices.

Last night, Greater Manchester Police attempted to forcibly gain access and evict the student occupiers of Walid Daqqa (Whitworth) Hall. This attempt was successfully resisted by hundreds of students and community members.

Brilliant. This is exactly the sort of escalation we need to see everywhere - especially in the wake of the disgusting attacks on students at Oxford this week for taking an identical action.
