We are eternally grateful to these heroes for their service & dedication to our community.

Today I spoke on the House floor about my Protect Local Law Enforcement Act that will remove the restrictions on law enforcement using federal funds to purchase tactical vehicles.

This year, we lost 3 first responders in a senseless act of violence in Burnsville, but the use of a tactical vehicle saved additional tragedy.

I worked with Woodbury local leadership to secure $670,000 federal dollars to help the Woodbury Police Department acquire new cameras for officers, vehicles & interview rooms.

I’ll keep working to ensure #MN02 law enforcement officers have all they need to do their jobs safely.

This week is National Police Week – a time to recognize the law enforcement officers who show up every day to keep Minnesota safe.
