In Oct 1871 the congregation dedicated their new building & later that day the Great Chicago Fire started and destroyed that new building. So they built again. Because that’s what Chicago does.

Chicago will be forever indebted to Gerardo & his loved ones for any safety improvements to this location. It took selfless-courage for them to fight for safety improvements all the while while grieving. Our hope is that lives aren't lost before dangerous locations are made safe.

Great idea. I’ve committed to reinstating the Office of Veterans Affairs in my first 100 days as Mayor. There are 66k Veterans living in Chicago that have been left behind by this administration and they deserve a plan and a leader who will prioritize their needs.

Unacceptable. If getting cta to better staffing levels in order to provide adequate service will take time, ppl should know that, but regardless of that, the tech. they use for bus/train trackers has to be accurate & precise.

If ppl can’t trust the system, they won’t use it.

Seriously, cta, a 15-minute gap between trains is unacceptable during off-peak hours. At 7 am?!?

And I get that brown and purple are roughly interchangeable Loop-bound. But they’re not north-bound.

Most cta rides are bus rides. There are lessons from the bus redesign study that are being ignored. This is perfect timing for all door boarding, off board fare collection - reducing dwell time & true dedicated lanes. Getting people where they need to go! chicagotribune.com/business/ct-bi…

CTA refuses to join Metra’s Fair Transit South Cook pilot program to provide better, more efficient and affordable service to riders, but seems to be committed to Metra’s off peak hours schedule of once an hour for buses and trains — except all day.
