RevTimChristopher We need to start supporting the good officers. Hard to do your job when everyone is recording your every step. Support starts with great leadership, something Mpls doesn’t have.

From 3PM Friday to 3AM Saturday there was 10 shooting that we can account for.

RevTimChristopher We also needs laws enforced by metro district attorneys. We need detention centers for wayward juveniles that work on rehabilitation. To get more cops we will need to pay them more and stop trying to take away qualified immunity.

I had a meeting with someone from the House of Representatives last week on that.

I don’t think this is the target audience this buy back was looking for.

We are a week out until the election and the two candidates for governor has no clear plan for how we bring the crime somewhat under control other than we need more cops we all know that what else do you have?

RevTimChristopher Two very simple ways. Both cost more money.

Give police far more training. It not only keeps them proficient in less common scenarios, it functions as a break from always being 'on.'

Second, have two officers in each car. Eliminate the extra stress of being alone.

No one should want to work under a broke system that puts them in danger. Why would a rookie cop want to sign his life away.

Police say a man has serious injuries after a shooting near 8th and Portland around 9pm in downtown Minneapolis.

Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting. No one is in custody. WCCO - CBS Minnesota
