I would like to delete the term “cough-variant asthma” from the pediatric vernacular.

That’s just Asthma.

The biggest reason this is so upsetting is that the price of this 'authorized generic' inhaler is much higher than other covered - brand name - alternatives, so covering fluticasone is going to cost the Commonwealth MILLIONS of dollars.
But kids need it.
It's all so unfair.

While I am so grateful to MassHealth for expanding coverage of fluticasone HFA for kids <12 b/c of the Asmanex #shortage , it kills me to reward the companies that caused the current #asthma inhaler crisis with even more business.
