Royal Astronomical Society A bit of cloud cover reduced the glare of the sun enough for me to grab this using a Sony ZV E10, no special filters or lenses, faffed about with camera settings, got lucky with a bit of cloud and this is the end result.

Could just about spot the partial solar eclipse in Oxford this morning through the cloud (donโ€™t look directly at the Sun!)

The Moon is just taking a little bite out of the Sun. Did anyone else manage to spot it?

Maximum eclipse now. Hazy here but the projected image is still ok. (Remember: never look at the Sun through binoculars or a telescope without appropriate filters.)
