Liz Truss has now formally resigned.

Outgoing prime minister Liz Truss is heading to Buckingham Palace for her last audience with the King.

The word from the palace last week was that no decision has been taken about this yet. The new King risks a public backlash if he goes abroad with the Queen Consort and one of his two required stand-ins is Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, or Princess Beatrice.

The King will give audiences to his outgoing Prime Minister Liz Truss and her replacement Rishi Sunak at Buckingham Palace tomorrow morning.

Another engagement for William and Kate next week. The Prince and Princess of Wales will visit Scarborough on November 3 to launch funding to support young people’s mental health, in a collaboration spearheaded by the Royal Foundation.
