Receiving a call on 9/15/2001 from a Sikh American friend about the murder of Balbir Singh Sodhi will always be a part of my memory of post 9/11 backlash. The legacy of Mr. Sodhi's life + how it sparked solidarity across South Asian communities lives on today, 23 years later.
