What on earth possessed the NEC to invite the worst program in the PSAC to join FCS? They haven't had a winning season since 2019 (6-5) and that's only their 2nd winning season of the last decade. What was the thinking on either side here?

P4 logic at work. They’re supposedly a million times better than us, but they also don’t want to risk losing to us.

The Patriot League has been a multi bid league in the FCS Playoffs 4x since the conference was given an AQ bid in 1997.
