On 16 August 1819, the Peterloo Massacre took place in Manchester, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 18 & the serious injury of over 600. Thousands had gathered to peacefully protest the British system of representation & were attacked by troops ordered to disperse them.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve read #PrideandPrejudice , so how have I *always* missed this scene⁉️😯

I counted. It wasn’t 2.5 years. It was 2 years 7 months. Now 8. I have NEVER struggled with a piece of writing like I did with this book. PANDORA only took 10 months. 😭 Please let Book 3 be an easier ride!
