I've seen some arguments that cards like Winter Moon and Blood Moon only punish expensive manabases, which I think it just wrong. If you are playing an optimal manabase you can probably have a bunch of fetches, it's the mid-tier manabases playing janky duals that get hammered…

Standard rotation is coming up pretty soon with both Innistrad sets, Kamigawa and New Capenna on their way out. What rotating card deserves another look before it leaves Standard forever? Anything you still really want to do with those sets while you have the chance?

Acceptable in Commander or nah?

Really don't know what to make of Nethergoyf. I doesn't snowball, but it's hard for me to imagine a creature that is pretty easily a one mana 3/4 being bad. Curious what everyone else thinks. How much Modern play will it see?

A lot of the MH3 cards previewed today seem strong, but Ugin's Labyrinth is the one I'm scared of most by far. I'm shocked they printed a real Sol land into Modern and onto Arena.

The card is cool, but that's not a shepherd...

This card is low key busted in Commander - a new staple - and also an example of why we banned Glacial Chasm/Field of the Dead on Clash, it's getting easier and easier to tutor up non-basic lands at instant speed.

Between Modern Horizons 3 and Bloomburrow I think this summer has a change to go down as one of the best ever in Magic.

Actually a pretty funny hate card against big creatures.

The way I learned to play Magic was bashing my super casual charge counter deck against my friends super tuned Scepter Chant deck. Finally beating it after getting hard locked out of a ton of games is what got me hooked on Magic.

This is very much a greatly designed card. Kudos!

Good news is that Modern Horizons 3 looks incredibly awesome. Bad news is probably going to have to cancel the stream today to make a spoiler video about all the surprise spoilers (which I guess might be good news too, because I can't wait to talk about these cards)!

One of my favorite parts of Horizons sets is the callbacks to old, iconic cards. Mulldrifter but with annihilator sounds pretty awesome.
