Not sure who’s having more fun here in the Maldives? Sanjay Wijesekera, Yusuf or Saaodh? In any case, it’s wonderful to see children living with disabilities playing, learning and laughing at an inclusive education hub. #ForEveryChild, play UNICEF Maldives

A day that started with the excitement of going to school with friends in Pakistan ended in sadness, fear & tragic loss. Terrible news. Condolences to the families mourning their little ones. Children are not a target. Education for all must be protected. #ForEveryChild, learning

A sad milestone for Rohingya children & families: 7 yrs of lives upended…living with uncertainty…and deteriorating security. Catherine Russell looks to “the new Interim Government of Bangladesh to ensure that these children are protected and have access to critical services.” 👇🏼

It’s one thing after another for children in Bangladesh 😢. Flash floods have washed away homes. Children need to feel safe. We need shelter, social workers for mental health support, nutrition & water purification tabs. UNICEF Bangladesh is on the ground. Emma Brigham’s report 👇🏼

I remember a mother in Kandahar crying telling me her children were so hungry & malnourished when they went to school, they couldn’t focus. This grant from EUinAfghanistan to combat child malnutrition in Afghanistan & help children learn is everything. It’s hope. Thank you 🙏

Alarming pictures from Bangladesh as millions of families contend with the floods. How terrifying to walk through floodwaters with babies, children & the remains of a home. With the Interim Govt, UNICEF Bangladesh is supporting those affected but they need more funds. Please support.

Simple. Low-cost. Life-changing. And something so many of us take for granted. Not only is Fauzia now drinking safe water but she is safer because she doesn’t have to walk long distances risking violence & exploitation. #ForEveryChild, health

Welcome Rana to UNICEF Bangladesh as Representative. “This is a crucial time for Bangladesh. My heart is with the countless children, young people and families affected by the recent violence, as well as those impacted by the cyclone and recent flooding.” #ForEveryChild, Rana 🩵

“We have to act as if there’s a fire under our feet.” Pia Rebello Britto’s response to the global education crisis: 250 million out of school children. Brilliant interview👇🏼where she outlines how @Unicef is accelerating efforts for children at key ages & how we spread “education fever.”

These positive and constructive young voices are so uplifting, they echo beyond Bangladesh to the whole region and, as they do, inspire millions of children and young people to do their part building peaceful and productive communities. 🩵

“Pakistan, already in the grips of an education emergency with 26.2 million children out of school, cannot afford more learning losses,” said UNICEF Representative in Pakistan Abdullah Fadil. #ClimateActionNow

I remember Sept 18, 2021 in Afghanistan with numbness, disbelief & the greatest sense of injustice. 3 yrs on, 1.5 million girls are still denied their right to learn in secondary school, condemning them & the nation to a lack of productivity & prosperity. Let girls learn!

Unprecedented weather & climate related events are becoming the new normal in Bangladesh & all over South Asia. As UNICEF Bangladesh responds to millions of families affected by the floods so, too, must we invest in building more resilient communities. #ClimateActionNow #ForEveryChild
