Today's meanderings included a visit to Sezincote House, a 200 yr Mogul Indian palace, set in a romantic landscape of temples, grottoes, waterfalls and canals reminiscent of the Taj Mahal in 3,500 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside.

Among yesterday's favourite finds, was this hat presented to Cecil Fiennes in 1859 for the 2nd recorded #HatTrick , for bowling out 3 opponents in succession in 1889, while playing cricket for I Zingari, against the military at Dublin's Phoenix lodge.

Back in Oxfordshire this week, it has been a special privilege to visit Broughton Castle, a fortified, moated medieval manor house in Banbury, Oxfordshire, the ancestral family home of the Fiennes family since 1377 (through the female line).
