So HM Revenue & Customs invites me to do self assessment, turns out they owe me £170, then get a message to look at online account and it now says I owe them £300. Inconsistencies with HMRC take ages to fix and screws up tax codes! It’s so annoying! I had 4 codes last year! HMRC Customer Support
