Some (slow) progress being made in oilseed rape harvest in Fife tonight, between the showers. Hopefully the breeze will stay for a while and keep the rain away 🀞

Unusual neighbours for cutting oilseed rape on the banks of the Forth. We don’t often have a ship as our nearest neighbour!! 🚒

That can’t be dust can itπŸ€”. Much to our surprise, cutting Rye at 19% and wheat at 22% in Fife today between weather fronts. #takingyourchanceswhenyoucan!!!

Members from the Highlands to the Lothians also made some more progress yesterday, despite the threatening skies. Spring barley and wheat coming ready for the combine.🌾

You know that feeling when you get cutting for the first time in a week and you look over your shoulder and see the rain is just not that far awayβ€¦β€¦πŸ˜‘β˜”οΈπŸ˜‘β˜”οΈ

Great coverage of the PCN Action Scotland Project in which Scottish Agronomy have collaborated with other organisations including Soil Essentials, JHI & SAC over the last few years. Could 'super potatoes' save the tattie industry? bbc.com/news/articles/…

As 3 combines finish wheat in Fife and move back into spring barley, 2 drills finally get to work drilling rape in the Borders. A combination of wet weather and customs delays in getting seed into the country, have certainly proved a challenge this year πŸ€”

How many drills can you see? πŸ‘€ 5 GPS driven drills working in Fife on a murky Sunday. #givingiteverythingwwvegot 🌫️

It’s amazing how progress improves when you get some decent weather!! The last of our plots in the Borders for harvest’24 being cut in perfect conditions 😎

It’s a frustrating time for our drills at the moment. Everything that we have seed for is in the ground and we are currently waiting on seed arriving. Very frustrating when the ground and weather conditions are so good 😑
