First mm of the year, no roofs yet though, this one was found on the roads in my neighborhood.

A super duper close up of an extremely weathered mm. I didn’t even recognized this one until I zoomed in and saw some familiar structures. Looks like all the glass has been eroded away.

A few years ago I would have most certainly overlooked this micrometeorite. Now’s the strange ones are my favorite types to find.

I-types are amongst the rarest mms in my collection, and I wasn’t able to confirm any of my findings until last year. I’m still not 1,000% on all of them but I think I’m getting to the point where I’m able to identity them strictly on physical characteristics.

Here’s another stack and stitch. I really love how they are turning out. This one was only 4 separate stacks with a little under 1,000 images all together.

Another super duper close up of an extremely weathered mm. This one kind of reminds me of the Carina nebula.

Here’s another example of stitching images together to form the entire mm from a few post back.

Here’s the five separate images it took to create the last super duper close up. All together it was around 1,350 images.

Here’s a super duper close up of a double-bead. This one is a stitch of 5 separate photos each made up of around 270 images. In the next post I’ll show what the 5 images look like before stacking.

Here’s a little SEM sprinkled with a super duper close up sprinkled again with an unmatched closeup with the SEM. :)

This super duper is actually of a tan micrometeorite. I’ll get an image of the entire mm soon but for now enjoy the closeup. :)

It’s a little hard to tell but in this super duper close up the metal bead has somehow rotated about 45 degrees. I’m a little afraid of it falling out but so far it’s held on tight. :)

A couple more super duper close ups. There is a lot going on in these two. The first is a composite of two images stitched together.
