Stemming from a Houston Police investigation that occurred this week.

Today, HCSOTexas deputies were called to this location, reference to a weapons disturbance. Upon units arriving, the suspect barricaded himself. Deputies learned the male was possibly wanted.

Update: male has been taken into custody without further incident. The suspect is believed to be Tilford Anthony Joseph (7-22-77). Joseph was wanted for Murder and Aggravated Assault of a Peace Officer. A media partner briefing will take place at approximately 8:45pm.

Update: I-610 North Loop at Homestead Rd remains blocked in both directions. Expect scene to work into the evening hours. Seek alternate route.

In memory of Sergeant Raymond Scholwinski, who died from COVID-19 complications on May 6, 2020. He began his service with HCSO as a detention officer in 1993. He is survived by his wife and four children. Gone but never forgotten.
