We cannot go back to an era where committees of politicians sit all day in pointless meetings with tea and biscuits. They never made anything happen. Vote for Ben Houchen 😀

Frank Field was a lovely man and a great Parliamentarian. It was a privilege to overlap for two years with him, to enjoy his company and to work with him on Freeport policy. His deep faith should be a comfort today and I am glad he is at peace.

The Conservatives are the only party with a plan to support families with the cost of childcare.

We’re taking defence spending to 2.5% of GDP.

The biggest strengthening of our national defence for a generation.

Really welcome the announcement of lifting the percentage of GDP spent on defence to 2.5%. My only concern is that given just how badly the world situation is deteriorating, we may need to move faster still. But a major improvement in our posture.

All eyes on the PM’s press conference. This is ENORMOUS news and hugely needed in the MoD.

The entire Rwanda scheme costs less than a week of EU membership fees.
