A (relatively) new tactic by climate change deniers is to attribute extreme events to nefarious human intervention. Whether it's arson and wildfires or cloud seeding and flooding, it's a ploy to distract from the obvious connection between a warming world and more extreme events.

Professor Maarten Ambaum, a meteorologist at the University of Reading, spoke to Sky News about the intense weather system that dumped a year’s worth of rain in a day on the city causing extensive flooding.
