A really powerful launch speech from Kemi Badenoch, setting out with crystal clarity the principles that can guide and deliver a Conservative national renewal: - personal responsibility - citizenship - equality under the law - family - truth

Two stand-out lines from Kemi Badenoch: “Government should do fewer things but do it better…and what it does, it should do with brilliance” and “Better to deal with hard truths today than big problems tomorrow.” The reasons Renewal2030 has my support.

Announcing an arms embargo on the day when Israel is burying its murdered hostages, and within weeks of British military personnel and arms defending Israel from Iranian attack, is not easy to swallow. Having now looked at Labour’s memorandum, it has all the appearance of

It is great news for bills and energy security that prices for new wind projects have started falling again as financing costs and supply chain pressures ease. That the private sector can finance & deliver so much new capacity shows why GB Energy is a waste of taxpayer funds.

Incredibly exciting to see the incredibly talented Igraine Gray from my office poised to publish her debut novel! 📖 Well worth giving her a follow ahead of publication day next week ⬇️

Sigh. In the last year on record, there were 14k sales of social housing under Right to Buy in England. There are 4.5m social housing units. 'Losing' 0.3% of your stock to people who actually keep living in is not the issue, esp if we actually used the receipts to build more.

As Francis Maude said at the launch of Renewal2030 this week, Conservatives likely only have ONE chance to recover. It’s really good to see the cut-through the exceptional Kemi Badenoch is having with our party’s members ⬇️

This is an excellent, evidence-rich blog from Dr David Jeffery on why electorally the Conservatives need to find a policy agenda that is both pro-growth and pro-environment. A more market-led approach to environmental policy is the way to achieve this.

I will never forget meeting the families of the victims of the Grenfell Disaster. Today’s report by Sir Martin Moore-Bick and his fellow panellists is devastating and authoritative. Their recommendations appear both reasonable and highly pragmatic, and should be honoured.

The Conservatives need a Leader with strong conservative principles. One who has been bold in the face of political pressure, and who does the right thing rather than the easy thing. Then we can rebuild, and offer the country what it needs. That Leader is Kemi Badenoch 💙💪

Thank you to every one of my colleagues who voted for me. This, coupled with all the independent members polls, show that there is huge support for Renewal2030. It’s time to deal with hard truths today, rather than big problems tomorrow. I look forward to making the case for

The average first-time buyer would have to save half of their earnings for almost a decade to afford a deposit, our research shows. Today we have published a new report, Broken Ladder 🪜 🗝️ It examines house prices, earnings and mortgage costs in different regions and finds
