We just got back from a productive and fun writing retreat in western Scotland as part of our Natural Environment Research Council funded project to investigate origins of diversification in Western Melanesian reptiles and amphibians. I had a fun day on Friday looking for adders with Lucy and Samuel. The Adder Team are doing a fantastic job of collecting genetic samples ready for investigating the genetic health and connectivity of adder (Vipera berus) populations in the North Pennines, UK.
