On Tuesday the RNIB told the London Assembly Transport Committee that bus stop bypasses were "Not accessible for people with sight loss". youtube.com/clip/Ugkxjdk_j…

On Thursday the entire London Assembly unanimously supported a motion calling for a FULLY INDEPENDENT review of bus stop bypasses! Clearly @WillNorman and TfL marking their own homework wasn’t convincing!

Reminder about donating for the ltn legal case in west Dulwich to hold Lambeth accountable to listening and consulting residents properly. Not the “we know best” approach. gofund.me/0eaaaa73

We have reached over half of our funding goal for phase one of holding Lambeth to account for their “rigged” LTN so it’s all looking good very likely we will issue legal papers but we still need your help to reach the goal. Please donate and please spread the word.

So LTNs divert ALL traffic away from quiet, pedestrian-free, shop-free, public transport-free back streets onto now VERY busy pedestrian, business occupying & main public transportation & cycling routes? Make this make sense. Maximum pollution where the MOST ppl are! Madness.

A tale of 2 roads 👇LTN devoid of pedestrians, full of parked cars which Lewisham Council displaces onto the sacrificial one, Lee High Rd full of ppl walking through pollution to the shops. Lee High Rd has the heaviest footfall. Its residents deserve better than this council.

See the response below from the UK Noise Association The study is complex but noise levels appear to be up 8% on Oxford Road, the main thoroughfare taking the displaced traffic.

Last chance to comment on this incredibly stupid scheme from Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan that takes out bus lanes for bike lanes, makes bus stops inaccessible and designs in a load of pavement cycling. @Have your say today. ⁦Seb Dance⁩ ⁦Elly Baker⁩ haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/brentford-syon…

This is a serious study but, as the UK Noise Association has said, while there was a reduction in 'acoustic energy', the standard way of measuing noise, the LAeq metric, showed increases. And on Oxford Rd, the road taking much of the overspill traffic, noise was up 8%.

Monk£y Bar$ Cllr Kieron Williams And although Cllr Leeming doesn't like to think about each consultation that's been carried out on the Dulwich LTN (at great expense), they've each been a stark reminder that the policies are incredibly unpopular and have been forced through.

Even though 68% of locals opposed the West Dulwich LTN it’s gone ahead anyway as a trial. Cameras and camera van at the ready 💰Plus signs hidden behind low hanging trees so be careful! We are contesting this. Contribute here: gofund.me/0eaaaa73

It comes with some caveats but a US study has found children who grew up in areas with the worst air pollution were less likely to escape poverty in adulthood. Researchers compared people who started life in households with the same income but with cleaner or dirtier air.

The UK Noise Assocution emailed the lead author of about the apparently contradictory findings in the recent report on noise and LTNs. His replies, outlined below, are interesting and that more work needs to be done before we can have any certaintly about the impact.

This vid is of the busy residential/community roads surrounding #railtonltn which are now busier/more congested due to traffic displacement. Dulwich road closures not helping either. What is your view of LTN traffic relocation schemes Clean Air Fund Mums For Lungs? Social Environmental Justice

And on they go. Lambeth's next set of LTNs: moderngov.lambeth.gov.uk/documents/s158… Note the Streatham Wells LTN, which had to be removed, is still there but pushed back to 2026.

So Lambeth Council wants every street in the borough to be a ‘healthy street’ completely ignoring the inconvenient truth that ALL their LTNs displace traffic onto surrounding roads. Perhaps the idea is to push pesky traffic into neighbouring boroughs? Social Environmental Justice
