(Periods!🧵)It seems worse having had children… I sang a concert last night and it was terrifying having to perform with a voice that just wasn’t working as usual. Having rehearsed with ease, I was looking forward to the concert and then I woke up with a different voice 🤬

Warning: I’m going to mention the unmentionable - periods! I want to know if anyone else suffers like I do with their voice when they start their period? Is there ANYTHING that can be done to take down the swelling of the cords every month or is it dangerous to take anything? 🧵

Ryan and I are performing a recital of Schumann, Müller-Hermann and Mahler together tonight at the Wigmore Hall. If you feel like venturing out on this cold, wet November Sunday evening, we’d love to see you!
