We celebrated #WorldBookDay23 with a dress up day. The children loved dressing up as their favourite book characters. What a great opportunity to spark interest in reading from a young age📚📖

Very successful #seachtainnagaeilge in South Lee. Today on Lá Glás we had a big celebration with traditional Irish song and dance. Each class performed an Irish drama on the big stage. We even had a big pot of Irish stew to enjoy for our lunch. Is brea linn Gaeilge!

We are now the proud recipients of our first Green Flag for litter and waste. The committee worked tirelessly to achieve this and we are delighted that our school’s commitment to the environment is now celebrated ♻️🚮🗑️ Green-Schools

Great day of orienteering in Clashduv park with Cork Sports Partnership for our 2nd class students. They practised map reading and navigation skills in the sun🧭🗺️📍☀️

Smiles all around in our school today as the Parents’ Association treated all the children to an ice-cream🍦🍦🍦

Fantastic Active Week Active School Flag in our school. The children got to try out orienteering, outdoor circuits, oodles of noodle fun and table tennis tournaments. We also got GAA, basketball and acro gymnastics sessions. What a fun filled week!

School Tour in full swing in our school, 1st and 2nd class went to MTU for a Just4Fun activity day. The children had a blast on bouncy castles, obstacle courses, wrecking balls and cooperative games

Junior and Senior Infants had an amazing time on their school tour today at Fota Wildlife Park. With our very own guided tour of all the animals from the African savannah to the Asian jungle🦬🐆🐅🦓

Fantastic Sports Day today with throwing games, relays races, GAA skills and parachute fun. A fun filled, active day for all⚽️🏐🏑🎳🏅

We had a brilliant week celebrating #MathsWeek2023. The older children enjoyed some problem solving activities and the Infants explored patterns. Everyday the whole school practised counting in a different language led by one of our multilingual pupils.

We celebrated Science Week this week with a range of fun and exciting activities. Junior infants tested out waterproof materials making suitable roofs for their Lego houses. Ali’s class was amazed by a Skittles experiment. First Class investigated static electricity Science Week Ireland

Big day today as we were payed a visit from the Lord Major of Cork. We enjoyed listening to his stories and he also helped seal our school time capsule featuring our dreams for the future. Cork City Council

The boys and girls performed their winter concert for the whole school community to enjoy today and what a performance it was. Happy Holidays everyone!

Friendship February was a major success. The student council organised across class buddies get togethers, friendship drama activities and a whole school friendship song in the playground.

Active Week 2024 over and out. A jam packed week of activities from Olympic field events, orienteering, dance classes to yoga and Pilates. Rounded off by our annual sports day.
