This year, Gavin Wilczewski '26, founded and moderated our new Mustang Scholars Club, which helps students in need of tutoring in any subject area.

Over the last few weeks, the club held a Summer Book Drive collecting over 4,500 books for parishes in need.

Earlier this week, the 5th grade class from St. John of the Cross explored our Shrine Chapel for a day of pilgrimage with Fr. Tom McCarthy, O.S.A. ’83.

This was an opportunity for students to discover the history of our Shrine Chapel and learn about each of the saints’ shrines.

Last week, Ritamen in our Advice Beyond the Classroom (ABC) Club participated in the ABC State Championship at the UBS Tower.

This event provided our Ritamen with the opportunity to connect and build relationships with professional mentors to help them expand their network.

Fr. Tom McCarthy and Mrs. Jenkins hosted 150 families from parishes across Chicago at their 2nd Annual First Communion Retreat. 

Our first Communicants learned about the Eucharist, sang songs, did crafts, and listened to talks about the saints featured at our Shrine Chapel.
