Yesterday, the final session of the WAB in Rome. Meeting with DM Cirielli on 🇮🇹 approach to the support of the Syrian people and final panel opened at the Farnesina by Pol.Dir. Ferrara. My deep appreciation to the WAB, ready to work on the follow-up!

With the generous fund of #italy,🇮🇹, we were able to support thousands of the vulnerable #women & #YOUTH in #Syria during 2023. Muriel Mafico, UNFPA-Syria Representative met with Mrs. Roberta Di Lecce, Charge d’affaires Italy in Syria to continue implementing vital programmes.

A very interesting morning, today, thanks to an open discussion with a group of students of Universität St.Gallen (HSG) hosted at the Luiss University on many issues related to the Syrian crisis: from refugees to sanctions, from the Arab normalization to the role played by the EU and Italy.

The Syrian crisis also in the perspective of the next Arab League Summit hosted in Bahrein at the centre of my meeting in Rome with the Undersecretary Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. Thank you, Excellency, for the occasion, looking fwd to the next, in Bahrain.
