I’m hearing that Ray Garton, horror novelist and friend, died yesterday. This is sad news, and a loss to those who enjoyed his amusing, often surreal, posts on Twitter.

WOLF AT THE TABLE, Adam Rapp: Not a horror novel, but a family saga with deeply sinister undertones. Very readable, and very scary. In a dark way, it reminded me of Kristin Hannah's THE WOMEN.
