.TSA officers at BWI Marshall Airport intercepted this switchblade at a security checkpoint among a traveler's carry-on items yesterday. Your take-away: Pack knives in checked bags, not carry-on bags.

A man carried this very looooong machete to a TSA security checkpoint at John F. Kennedy Airport yesterday. He did not leave the checkpoint with it. Lesson learned: Don't bring a machete to an airport checkpoint.

When TSA passenger screening canine Szonja 'hits' on a device during training, she gets rewarded with some play time with her TSA handler at Reagan Airport. Szonja's favorite toy is a ball on a rope.

Here’s some all-season travel knowledge. You can bring an empty reusable water bottle in your carry-on bag. Most airports have a filling station, so just fill up before boarding!

This wasn’t a step in the right direction, cane you believe someone tried sneaking this through Newark Liberty International Airport? Swords are not allowed to fly. Check all items before flying, prevent any unwanted delays. Know what you can pack, check out: tsa.gov/travel/securit…

National Puppy Day might have been last week, but this is a great story no matter the day. I encourage you to read about & their partnership with Guide Dog Foundation & America's VetDogs as 24 puppies went through TSA screening for the 1st time.

A replica magazine, and mine walk up to a checkpoint at Boston Logan International Airport. Sounds like the setup for a joke, right? Not quite! Replica magazines go in checked bags, and, Mr. Mine, stay home. Questions? Our 'What Can I Bring Tool' can help: tsa.gov/travel/securit…

.TSA officers at PHLAirport detected these two realistic replica guns in traveler's bags during the weekend. These items slowed down the checkpoint lanes for everyone else. Replica guns may make you think you're cool, but you would be oh so wrong. These are uncool dudes.🙄

Let's get down to brass tacks. Brass instruments are allowed on planes--a French horn, trumpet, trombone, even a tuba). However, brass knuckles (or any that are not brass) are not permitted on planes meaning not through a TSA security checkpoint. Please make a note of it.
