The The Wiener Holocaust Library, the world's oldest archive on the era of National Socialism, celebrates its 90th birthday this month. The institution has a close connection to the Arolsen Archives, holding a digital copy of their collection of 30 million original documents.

A proud moment to speak at the #Bundestag with such distinguished guests. Thank you Jill Gallard , Alf Dubs and Hella Pick. Ruth Ur and the Freundeskreis Yad Vashem have created such a powerful exhibition ‘I said Auf Wiedersehen’ in memory of the Kindertransport. Thank you all.

Ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day #HMD2024 , I visited the Wiener Holocaust Library The Wiener Holocaust Library, which - through its research - is a living memorial to the atrocities of the Holocaust, preserving the testimonies of survivors.

Our organisation was first established at 16 Jan Van Eijckstraat, Amsterdam. This street was the home and workplace of our earliest staff members, including the Wiener family

During the Holocaust, 90 Jewish residents of that street were murdered

As the national organization representing and caring for Holocaust survivors and refugees - The AJR is disgusted that this poignant and cherished monument, which commemorates the desperate yet life-saving journeys of the youngest victims of Nazi oppression, has been desecrated.
