The Saxons are coming and they're bringing a boat! ⛵ FREE EVENT: A tribe of marauding Saxons are making their way by longboat to the Castle Grounds on 27 & 28 July. Visitors are welcome to board the longboat and learn how it was used Sat 10am-5pm & Sun 10am-4pm. #Athelstan1100

⚔️ The Anglo-Saxons are here with their longboat today, 10am-4pm, so pop down to see history come alive! Entry to the castle grounds is free. The castle/museum is also open 10am-4pm (last admission 2pm, admission fee applies) which houses items from the Staffordshire Hoard.
