Fabulous new PhD paper by Ryan Haynes on the use of spectroscopy to identify water stress indicators in two tree species. Exciting to see that spectral observations can be used to quantify water potential. Well done Ryan and team!
I'm going to be there talking about Digital Earth Pacific and also running a workshop on using Cloud-Native Geospatial Foundation to more easily access Earth observation data. Hope to see you there!
Very excited for Dr Chloe Lucas @chloetas.bsky.social on her Australian Research Council #DECRA success! Her project "Helping Citizens Share Responsibility for Democratic Climate Adaptation." will further strengthen research on climate adaptation and communication in the School #GPSS University of Tasmania Congratulations Dr Chloe Lucas @chloetas.bsky.social!
Did we mention that FOSS4G SotM Oceania 2024 is happening in Tasmania this year? It's definitely not being held at Boring Creek!
🤝 Fantastic moment when Ozius Founder & Chief Scientist, Alissa Starkey, dropped by our Advancing Earth Observation Forum 2024 booth to show our Cal/Val team, Ben Sparrow & Arko Lucieer & Director Beryl Morris, how TERN #data is used in the #environmental intelligence company’s work. #AEO24
Good turnout at LauraNSotomayor🤠🦇's presentation at Advancing Earth Observation Forum 2024 in Adelaide. She presented her results on convolutional neural networks applied to multispectral drone data for ecosystem assessment as part of TERN. Nice work Laura!
