A perfect example of one of the many cult members who can’t see through their permanently online indoctrinations.

“Big, black and queer Broadway show” was a partial line from the marketing which was “big, black and queer Broadway show FOR ALL.” So if the actual show did not appeal to you on its own merits, fine. But I absolutely did NOT write it as community service for whites/heteros.

I am politely requesting a moratorium on reviews that begin with a desire for what they would or would not like to see as if they are a monarch awakening in the middle of the night wanting cook to bring them a pastry.

Observation: if the worldview of a theater reviewer doesn’t align with the worldview of a piece they’re reviewing, they just assume the artist has made a mistake/failed as opposed to analyzing the worldview and evaluating the piece on its own terms.
