Protect Pubs #SaveOurPubs Well run #pubs are the cornerstones of thriving #communities , but too many are closing due to exploitative owners and predatory external forces.
The next GOV.UK must do far more to support them and their dedicated SME operators who are too often forced to battle against all odds.

The current Govt listens only to #corporate lobbying by #bigbusinesses that exploit the properties and/or dominate UK bars with their products.
They will not tell the truth about the urgent need to address current anti-competitive behaviour and to Protect Pubs #SaveOurPubs in planning law.

Yes Keir Starmer our #community #pubs are crucial, and you are correct about energy bills and business rates, but there is much more besides.
The next GOV.UK must address systemic issues in the industry, and prioritise engagement with grassroots SME operators.

Today is the 4th anniversary of #pubs in England being ordered by the UK Government to close. Despite modest support from Government at the time, the current support for pubs is completely inadequate due to the cost-of-living crisis, outrageous energy bills & Covid debts.
