Appearing today in Chemical Science, Yan Sun (Yan Sun) and coworkers in The Robb Group illustrate that a polarizing dialkylamine substituent enables photochromic and mechanochromic behavior from a typically inert linear naphthopyran. Congrats to all! π doi.org/10.1039/D3SC03β¦
Delighted to share the latest paper from The Robb Group in collaboration with Mikhail Shapiro πΊπ¦βs group online now in PNASNews. Mechanophore activation using #biocompatible focused ultrasound! Huge congrats to Molly McFadden and Yuxing Yao and coworkers! doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2β¦
Hey, check out the front page of the @caltech website π You can read the news story by Emily Velasco π₯ here: caltech.edu/about/news/druβ¦
Congratulations to Tian Zeng (May) and coauthors on the latest The Robb Group publication in J. Am. Chem. Soc.! A new nonscissile mechanophore design enables polymers that can release hundreds of small molecule payloads with force. doi.org/10.1021/jacs.3β¦
One last paper from The Robb Group to finish off the yearβ¦ Congratulations to Debbie on her paper online now in Chemical Science! We exploit a unique fragmentation pathway using a self-immolative linker to design a mechanophore for dual payload release. doi.org/10.1039/D3SC06β¦
Congrats to Dr.Tian Zeng (May) for successfully defending her thesis today!!! We send our best wishes to her postdoc research! Congrats May!!!πππ
So happy I was able to return to Caltech last week and see my thesis advisor Maxwell Robb give a fantastic talk on all the beautiful work he and the Robb group have done these past few years.
Last week, Prof.Maxwell Robb gave us an amazing talk on polymer mechanochemistry. We are very excited to tell people about our cool chemistry! Also thanks to Dr.Molly McFadden for giving a wonderful intro!
Happy to be at #ACSSpring2024 to celebrate Maxwell Robb Piero Canepa and Jarad Mason's awards!!! Congratulations!!!! ππ
Today we report in J. Am. Chem. Soc. a novel and highly modular platform for mechanically triggered chemiluminescence (bright light emission) from polymers. Congrats to Peng Liuο½εζ, Yu-Ling (Debbie), and coworkers! Collab with Shabat Group. Caltech Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Caltech pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jaβ¦
