Setting up outside or inside leverage is not as sexy as speed or power. But small changes in body position and/or footplacement can make a HUGE difference when acceleration happens. Here is one simple drill we do opposite of "Skate Hops" that many do.

Is working getting Ground Contacts as minimal as possible (less than .10 secs), similar to a 3-Point Specialist working on Half Court Shots? It may never happen in the game, but it is the exposure one is looking for. Hmmmmm.

Great advice. The majority of "good" coaches do 85% or more of the same thing. People like to pick apart the 10-15% of the difference, and that is normally by personal preference.

I get to personally travel to a top SEC School from Weds to Saturday to spend hours upon hours of learning and teaching alike. Why, you ask? It is this simple 👇

I started a new podcast. I’m tired of hearing the same stuff regurgitated in our space. This entire show will be dedicated to making data and numbers simpler and easier to understand and implement. Go give it a listen. Episode 1 is out now on Spotify and YouTube

People would never believe my goal wasn't to have a successful NFL Combine business. It was just to train and help. Similar things with coaching "Game Speed" and the evolution of the SHREDmill invention. I soaked up as much as I could, and good things happened. Thankful.

Does speed help win? OF COURSE!!! But what are some things that are more important? 1) Think first and fast 2) Accelerate first (only first is needed) 3) Change Directions first (not necessarily "fast") If you do 1-3, you don't need to be as fast and can win 99% of the time.

Grateful! On a morning I am about to start 2 days with an SEC School, I get to answer questions on SHREDmill Gear Profiling for another P4 School concerning 2 players coming off ACL. I never share personal info out of respect. But 100% willing to share the knowledge.

We all work sprint start positioning for a sprint over and over. And I do the same. But do you also rep this postion over and over bc it may happen more in a game? This is the set up needed for a Wide Base Crossover. It is a great way to quickly react/attack a sharp angle.

"Strength and Conditioning" coaches need to coach "agility" ALSO! Nice work, Cody. I just let a SEC School coaching some of the same points.
