Parking charges will be reintroduced in all our car parks on June 8 following changes to government guidelines which mean more people are returning to towns and cities. They’re an important revenue stream, providing vital funds to support our communities: bit.ly/2MoCIT7

Last week’s #ClapforCarers may have been the final one, but we couldn’t let it pass without one last ‘thank you’ to everyone who has been working to support our communities, including our very own #CovidChampions.

COVID-19 has gone down due to the efforts of everyone but is still in general circulation. If we do not follow social distancing guidance then cases will rise again. Naturally people will want to enjoy the sun but we need to do so in a way that is safe for all.

Great meeting tonight talking about practical ways in which we can support colleagues Lancaster City Council to encourage everyone to take their litter home or dispose of it sensibly so that we can all enjoy our beach and our Town #keepitclean

Council staff and volunteers have spent the last few days clearing up huge amounts of litter from the district’s parks and beaches. Your littering has a massive impact on resources, the environment and wildlife. There is no excuse. If you can't use a bin then take it home.

As lockdown restrictions lift, remember coronavirus hasn't gone away. We all have a part to play so #LetsdoitforLancashire. We're close to being able to enjoy the things our great county has to offer, albeit with restrictions in place. Don't let your hard work go to waste now.

Had to report once again irresponsible Fly Tipping and littering on The Back streets of The West End of Morecambe. Breaks my heart that a tiny minority have no regard for the Environment.

Sad we are in tier 4. Glad we have so much hope to look forward to with more vaccines in 2021. Can’t wait for the day COVID19 ceases to be an epidemic in Lancashire. We can bring the future closer by taking up vaccines & keeping ourselves/loved ones safe by following guidance.
