I was honored to attend the 50th Anniversary & Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for our wonderful UIS Public Affairs Reporting Program program. The inductees are a remarkable group of individuals, and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about their time in the program and its impact on their careers.

On this day in 1969, Governor Richard Ogilvie signs Public Act 76-131, the bill creating Sangamon State University (now UIS), into law.

Leadership lived: Master’s in computer science major Shashank Tripathi from Delhi, India, enjoys the diverse environment at #UISedu . Tripathi works as a graduate assistant for Information Technology Services on campus.
