#Zambia has a long history, to this present day, of hosting refugees fleeing conflict & persecution elsewhere.

Today I visited the largely forgotten Polish cemetery in #Ndola , final resting place of many of the 18,000 Polish refugees who came here in 1943 fleeing war in Europe.

Democracy thrives where processes are transparent.

Where decisions impacting political participation are equitable, consistent & grounded in clear reasoning.

And where public bodies like Zambia Police are perceived to meet such standards by the public they serve.
