Dr Sophie Kemkhadze had a fruitful meeting with وزارة العمل والتأهيل- ليبيا to discuss the ongoing cooperation on vocational training programmes. UN Development's reaffirmed commitment to supporting youth skills development, creating 🆕job opportunities, & promoting jobs for sustainable growth in #Libya

Today's workshop started with an in-depth exploration of the situation in #Zliten and Bi'r al Ghanam, featuring a background briefing from Dr. Salah Essadeg, Head of the High Technical Committee for Monitoring Groundwater Increase. UNDP Accelerator Labs

Dr Sophie Kemkhadze held a constructive meeting with وزارة الحكم المحلي - ليبيا to discuss ongoing initiatives under the partnership between UN Development and the ministry, which focus on decentralisation and strengthening local capacities to strengthen local peacebuilding and resilience. #SDG17

Insightful contributions were made by Dr Muhammed Imran, senior scientist at the QCRI Research Institute, who discussed the use of remote sensing, computer vision, and social media analytics to assist emergency responders with mapping and optimised resource allocation.
