Tomorrow I will be at the 2024 Paralympics where I will have the chance to represent the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. I look forward to supporting Paralympians from around the world as they compete in Paris, & particularly our Refugee @‌Paralympics Team.

The #Paralympics Opening Ceremony at the heart of Paris was filled with beauty, lights & wonders. It embodied a strong message of inclusion for people with disabilities at the heart of our societies. The Paralympics are a chance to further breaking down barriers & unite us.

It was an honor to attend the Para Swimming competition yesterday & award medals at the victory ceremony for the Women’s 100m Butterfly. Congratulations to all athletes for participating & for being strong ambassadors of change, and encouraging our societies to be more inclusive.
