3/ 2⃣ Looking at discharge outcomes at 1 year we found that stroke (aHR, 2.07; 1.34-3.20) & mortality (aHR, 1.22; 1.02-1.47) risks were ⬆️ in Black vs. White patients.

Hispanic patients also had ⬆️ stroke risk (aHR, 2.02; 1.38-2.95) vs. White patients.

2/ In our study of ~70K patients hospitalized w/ #AFib from 2014-2020, we had 2 key findings:

1⃣ Black patients had a 25% and 27% ⬇️ odds of being discharged on any anticoagulant or newer direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) than White patients respectively.
