On September 28, USAID Philippines Acting Deputy Mission Director Jeff Goebel officially turned over 77 #water and #sanitation plans and 117 technical reports to CDI cities and adjacent areas to aid proper and effective delivery of water and sanitation services for years to come.
Together with USAID Philippines, Tagbilaran City Government launched its multi-thematic dashboards on September 29. It contains vital information such as the location of #water consumers, type or classification, name and contact details of registered customers, and quality of access to water.
On September 23, 2021, Palawan State University in Puerto Princesa City virtually launched the urban development learning program (UDLP). The #UDLP is a set of public lecture and course offerings developed in partnership with USAID Philippines and California-based GoldenGateUniversity.
As of September 2021, USAID Philippines facilitated the installation of over 77 #handwashing facilities in the CDI cities and adjacent areas and taught them how to use KoboToolbox and KoboCollect to monitor the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
Over 146 participants attended the whole-day Virtual Water and Sanitation Procurement Forum on September 14, 2021 organized by USAID Philippines to help CDI cities acquire the necessary facilities to improve access to #water and #sanitation .
To help CDI partner cities Zamboanga City and General Santos City reduce their #greenhouse gas emissions, USAID Philippines and the Climate Change Commission PH conducted a series of online workshops on updating GHG inventory and climate change mitigation strategy planning since May 2021.

Through the help of USAID Philippines, General Santos City has adopted a Strategic #Asset Management Plan that creates a portfolio of all assets owned by the city and develops better asset management practices to help improve services, attract #investment , and increase revenues.
To ensure continuous and sustained support and business advisory for #MSMEs and #womenentrepreneurs , USAID Philippines and Tagbilaran City Government developed a training program for its local business center to upgrade staff skills in #business development, #investment promotion, and more.
As a first step to #resilient urban development through data-driven approach on #disaster risk assessment, USAID Philippines with DHSUD Official held an executive course on Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment on September 3 to mainstream its use in #development and land use planning.
To support #womenentrepreneurs and #MSMEs , Tagbilaran City Government launched its Business Service and Development Center in August with the assistance of USAID Philippines. The center offers training, mentoring, technical advisory, market links, and access to financing.
On August 6, USAID Philippines facilitated a partnership between Zamboanga ChamberofCommerceandIndustryFoundation and LayerTech Lab to give over 50 #womenentrepreneurs free software to help improve business operations.
Puerto Princesa City & USAID Philippines assisted over 24 #womenentrepreneurs to apply for a business permit and to access assistance, training, and other services of the local government.
