Lets forget the wider arguments in favour of int’l students for a second - in economic terms this makes no sense. Every student that chooses the UK - even those doing Harry Potter Studies (n=0) - makes a contribution to economic growth & UK exports (1/2) .

Civic universities like University of Hull have an essential role to play in helping communities chart a path to sustainability. The work of our academics and industry partners in the Humber is a case study in how regional collaboration can deliver sustainable outcomes. #WorldHabitatDay

This #BlackHistoryMonth ’s theme - 'Time for Change: Action Not Words' – emphasises the role which each of us can play in tackling racial injustice. @UniofHull will be hosting events throughout October celebrating black history, heritage and culture.

The campus at University of Hull looking gorgeous in the autumn sunshine on our first open day of the new academic year. I'm hugely enjoying meeting applicants and their families, our current students and my colleagues today.

I’m looking forward to being a small part of a huge team effort to host our latest Open Day University of Hull tomorrow.

They are a great way for our students of the future to see our wonderful campus for themselves and learn about everything we have to offer here at Hull.

The Rugby League World Cup trophies are at University of Hull this evening ahead of an excellent panel discussion about the role of the sport in the community.

Our two students Dan Cullen and Tania Fu designed this fantastic mural with local artist Calvin Innes.

It represents the dual themes of environmental sustainability and social justice, and was officially unveiled on campus yesterday by our Vice Chancellor, Professor Dave Petley.
