Those who have chronic pain were an easy mark for the #SuboxoneBupeAgenda . Most have serious illness and/or injuries, including surgical injuries.
They continue to dehumanize us, assigning to us the 'addict' stigma, telling us that pain is just mind over matter.

Bev Schechtman🇮🇱 The days of respecting, trusting, & believing doctors is over. Was it necessary in order to approach opioid Rxing more cautiously to dismiss pain as an actual medical symptom & deny care? For government to criminalize treating pain when indicated? To literally abuse patients?

Voice mail after voice mail, message after message bright and early Monday morning - people sobbing, patients who were stable and now abandoned, doctors having to weigh risk v benefit to themselves instead of the pt. Where is the urgency to help these patients? Anyone? Bueller?

Globally, punitive drug laws uphold racist and colonial structures. Marginalised and racialised communities are disproportionately targeted and affected by these punitive drug laws and policies.
