Our recent efforts to deliver vital supplies to the flood-affected individuals in #Bangladesh were hindered by severe weather, flooding & challenging roads. But UN in Bangladesh staff overcame these obstacles, demonstrating their resilience & commitment to assisting those in need.
Floods in #Bangladesh have forced thousands of families from their homes, inundating communities, and disrupting livelihoods. In areas worst affected, WFP_Bangladesh teams are delivering vital food assistance to families stranded in shelters, aiming to reach 300,000 people.
WFP is delivering immediate relief to the most affected communities by the August floods. Some 60,000 people have received nutritious fortified biscuits in the worst-affected Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, and Moulvibazar districts, Dhaka Tribune reports. dhakatribune.com/bangladesh/356…
At a shelter in Moulvibazar, Lipi and her family received World Food Programme's fortified biscuits. "The water was waist-deep in my house. I couldn't cook," she recalled. So far, WFP has reached 40,000+ families with this crucial support. World Food Programme WFP Asia Pacific UN in Bangladesh
